Hello, I'm Leslie and welcome to my studio!
I grew up in a home bursting with creativity and always had a passion for fashion and interior design, but painting turned out to be my truest love. By embracing this passion to create, it became my vehicle of self discovery. When I have a paintbrush in hand my world seems to stand still, allowing me to channel all my energy and emotions onto the canvas. I’m an intuitive painter and while I may start out with a basic idea or a point of inspiration, I allow the pieces to flow and evolve naturally trusting my instinct. A painting usually starts with mark making or even writing words that are reflective of my mood or desires, then layers are added using different tools and mediums, creating texture, depth and visual interest. My hope is to create art that pulls the viewers in and allows them to connect with their own emotional response. And of course, to create art that bring a little more love and happiness into the world. I feel so fortunate to be able to take something that brings me such an abundance of joy, and then to be able to share it with others.
